Acrylic and melamine trays are more durable, shiny, and can be easily printed upon with graphics. Wooden trays are very durable and have a handcrafted look that blends well with a desktop or coffee table. Metal trays are the longest-lasting, can feature detailed artwork, and can have a magnetic lid to protect your stash.

Size

The size of the rolling tray matters for a few reasons. A small rolling tray is great to keep in a desk drawer with just a one-hitter or a pack of papers on it for quick use. Normal-sized rolling trays are about the size of a magazine and can be used to roll on and organize your supplies. Many medium-sized trays have a lot of grooves to keep ground weed or papers.
